Matsui Shigeru
Born in Tokyo in 1975. He write poetry and conduct research activities. His research in the 2010s is summarized in “Art Criticism and 1960’s Image Culture” (Film Art, Inc. 2021). In the 2020s, he is currently researching contemporary art experiences from the context of “boring” as it was described in the American and Japanese art scenes in the 1960s.
He has been an editor since 1998 while still in college, served in the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts since 2005, and in Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences since 2015.
